That’s the Taharua Valley, location of the premier 16,000 acre private ranch that our hunters choose as their number one destination for hunting superb herds of red stag, sika and fallow. The lodge is in the heart of the hunting here too, so more time for you to hunt and less spent travelling.
If variety is the name of your game, we also offer other epic estate and free-range hunt environments across New Zealand for you to pursue a broad range of quality species including tahr, chamois, and elk.
Our head guide, Ian Lowe has guided plenty of hunters into the record books but more importantly, we are known for having experienced guides who have patience and a friendly nature.
Your hunt, our approach.
If you don’t mind a few questions in the beginning, we can get to know you and figure out how you like to hunt. We’ll usually do a fair bit of glassing early on so you can decide on the trophy characteristics that interest you most. After all, you’ll want to still like your trophy when its back home on your wall.
You won’t be rushed in the field around here.
